Tamarind Consolidated will receive, inspect, and measure your cargo. We then retrieve and hold the attached invoice, enter all the information into our cargo system, and label the cargo. The cargo is stored in our warehouse until loading day.
We process and submit all of the required US export filings and declarations for your cargo to the respective agencies.
The cargo is then loaded inside Tamarind’s ocean shipping containers. The containers are locked, sealed, and delivered to a container ship for the express 5-day ocean transit to the British Virgin Islands.
We will send an email notification of shipment, with the arrival time and other specific information to you and all other parties.
We will send your original Bill of Lading with the related supplier’s invoices and other documents to you or your BVI customs broker or agent in the format required by BVI customs.
After the container’s arrival in the BVI, Tamarind unloads the cargo and stores your goods inside BVI Ports Authority warehouse.
You or your broker must then present the original Bill of Lading with the related supplier’s invoices and other documents to BVI customs. The cargo is subject to inspection at their discretion and BVI import duties are levied. After your payment to BVI customs, a release is issued. When you present this release to the Ports Authority, you can pick up your cargo from the warehouse.
